On Sunday I went ice skating for the first time in several years! Pamplona's Erasmus group organized a day trip to Itaroa Shopping Center, where there's a mall, ice skating rink, and game center (kind of like Frankie's in Durham). It was about a 20 minute ride to Huarte, a small town right outside of Pamplona. It was my first time seeing houses my area of the country because in Pamplona, everyone lives in apartments or townhouses.

I spent the day with two of my friends from school: Camila from Colombia (you might remember her from my ski post) and Polina from Russia. Here's a Snapchat I took when we first got to the rink:

And this is Polina pushing me on one of the little chairs! (I'm pretty sure these were only for kids and people terribly bad at ice skating--which none of us were--but I trust you all to keep our secret)

And what's a BK, Worldwide post without a Boomerang? Here's a Boomerang Camila took when we first started skating. I haven't been ice skating since middle school, so I was surprised at how quickly I gained my balance on the ice. I'm standing on one leg here like a pro!

After we took a few laps around the rink and made several human chains with other students, we walked over to the mall to eat at the food court. The options were overwhelming, but I decided on Ricos Tacos, where I ate the best burrito I've ever had (this is a big deal, because I am a strong candidate for #1 Moe's Southwest Grill fan). I forgot to take a picture, but it had chicken, whole grain rice, black beans, salsa verde, green peppers, lettuce, pineapples and shredded cheese, and it was about the size of my forearm. Here's a mural that was in the parking lot behind the skating rink.

Considering I've now been skiing and ice skating in the coldest parts of Spain, I'd say I'm qualified to enter in this year's Winter Olympics. I'm currently looking for flights to South Korea.

¡Hasta luego!
